Physical Keyboard¶
Connect a keyboard to your device.
Virtual Keyboard¶
Windows
- Windows 7
- Display the Tablet PC input panel or the Visual keyboard using the Start button (in Accessories, then Tablet PC or Ease of Access).
- Windows 8, 8.1, 10
- Click a text field and the virtual keyboard is displayed automatically.
iPad
Click the text field and the virtual keyboard is displayed automatically.
Handwriting¶
Windows
- Windows 7
- Go to the Tablet PC input panel from the Start button (in Accessories, then Tablet PC) and go to the handwriting input tab.
- Windows 8, 8.1, 10
- Click the text field and the virtual keyboard is displayed automatically. Change the input method to enter handwritten text.
Voice Entry¶
Windows
- Windows 7
- Start the Speech Recognition tool from the Start button (in Accessories, then Ease of Access).
- Windows 8, 8.1, 10
- Start the Speech Recognition tool from the applications.
iPad
Click Dictation from the virtual keyboard.
