Update Gauge with Power Automate

iObeya is a powerful visual management tool that allows teams to easily track, share and discuss progress on their initiatives and projects. One of the key features of iObeya is the use of gauges to represent performance metrics in a visual and easy-to-understand way.

In this article, we will show you how to use Power Automate and the iObeya Connector to automatically update your iObeya gauges with data from other sources, such as Excel or SAP.

To start, you will need to have a Power Automate account and an iObeya account. Next, you will need to install the iObeya Connector for Power Automate, which can be found in the Power Automate marketplace.

Next, you will need to create a flow that triggers when data is updated in your source, such as Excel or SAP. This can be done by using the "When a file is created or modified" trigger for Excel, or the "When a record is created" trigger for SAP.

Once the trigger has been set up, you will need to extract the data from your source that you want to use to update your iObeya gauges. This can be done using actions such as "Get rows" for Excel, or "Get records" for SAP.

Before updating your gauges, you will need to transform the data into a format that is compatible with iObeya. This can be done using the "Compose" action in Power Automate.

Finally, you will need to use the "Update Gauge" action in the iObeya Connector to update the gauge in iObeya with the transformed data. This action requires the Technical Id of the gauge, which can be found in the iObeya board by selecting the gauge, then going to "Element" > "Properties" > "Copy Technical Id".
